THE HOUSE

Waterwynch House

Set in expansive private grounds with it's own private beach, Waterwynch House offers a myriad of activities for all ages in all weathers making it the perfect location to bring family and friends together all year round.

Waterwynch can accommodate up to 34 guests, with 12 recently renovated ensuite bedrooms. Each room enjoys sea views or overlooks the elegant gardens and woodlands of Waterwynch House.

Each room has been designed for maximum comfort with feather bedding, Egyptian cotton towels, bathing products, and a hairdryer. Most twin rooms can be converted to super king beds, and additional children can be accommodated.

Grounds and Gardens

There are a variety of exclusive guest walks which roam through the private grounds, taking in the beaches, magnificent cliff top sea views, bluebell woodlands, a natural stream, wildflower meadows and the formal lawns and gardens. Alongside sea swims and woodland walks, enjoy a game of table tennis, boules or rounders on the back lawn or simply relax on the beach-facing sun loungers.

Waterwynch Beach and House Terraces

The jewel in the crown for this unique location are the superb beaches of Waterwynch Bay. Although all beaches in the UK belong to the Crown, Waterwynch House owns the foreshore section of the beach closest to the house. The property is less than a one-minute stroll from the beach and is edged by 10 acres of charming gardens and natural woodland.

Low tide uncovers an expansive fine sandy beach and unveils two smaller beaches to either side of the property. Stunning clear waters and golden sands are flanked by dramatic cliff faces, bearing a number of deep caves. There are 2 large stunning terraces overlooking Waterwynch Beach. In the warmer months, enjoy the BBQ for a lazy lunch on the lower terrace seated area, then amble up to the upper terrace for a snooze on the sun loungers. Both terraces are also perfect for serving pre-dinner drinks, the upper terrace holding the sunlight well into the evening.

The beaches of Waterwynch remain quiet and peaceful throughout the year. A spur of the Pembrokeshire National Coast Path provides walkers public access to the beach but there is no public vehicle access.

Water sports

There’s a wide range of water sports available from local surfing schools who will bring the equipment direct to Waterwynch beach for you. The more adventurous can take part in Coasteering or local boat chartering.
Enjoying Tenby’s exquisite coastline by boat is a great privilege and Waterwynch is the perfect spot for sailing enthusiasts with vehicle access at the side of the house onto the beach slipway.
